12 String Brewing - Getting Close to Opening
Last March we told you about 12 String Brewing, a new brewery opening in Spokane Valley, WA. (Read that post.) The other day we told you about some of the latest news from the Liquor Control Board regarding new license applications, new license approvals, and so on. Today we learned that 12 Strings Brewing is somewhere between “approved” and “on the official list of approved breweries.” According to the information the state provided, 12 String was neither pending or approved. The process being what it is, this should not be a surprise.
Here is a message we received from Terry Hackler:
Just wanted to put the word out there that we finally received all of our licenses and are putting the finishing touches on the brewery and expect to brew our first batch about September 14th or so. It has been a long and grueling process getting everything in place. We are kind of doing it the hard way as we have built everything including our 7 bbl brew system from scratch. Stay tuned for an announcement of our taproom opening date.
Just a quick update for all you out there waiting for our beer to be available. We will be brewing our third batch this Friday. We already have done our Imperial Amber and our G-String Blonde. These should be ready in the next week or two, so look for them around town. And please ask your favorite pub for our beers. Our Taproom will be open around the first of November.
