2010 Washington Brewers Festival

Entertainment

 Friday, June 18th

7:00-8:30pm
Flowmotion

Hidden beneath the bows of the Northwest evergreens is found Flowmotion, one of Seattle’s most distinctly diverse rock bands. This is an act that fails to fall into an easily packaged genre, succeeds in defying stereotypes, and throws one hell of a party no matter what city, town or festival the five-piece band happens to land in.

 Saturday, June 19th

1:00-2:30pm
Fanny Alger

Fanny Alger is a high energy rock band from Skagit County, Washington. A live Fanny Alger performance (called a Revival) features multi-media exhibitions, snake handling, mind reading, spoon bending, faith healing, and beer witching.

3:15 - 4:15 p.m.
Brewers Keg Toss Contest

Here’s a chance for the brewers to show off their muscles and keg-maneuvering skills they developed from years of hard work! Each contestant will toss an empty pony keg toward three kiddy pools full of water and points will be awarded for landing the keg in the pools. So be there and find out who will claim the title of the ultimate championship!

5:00-6:30pm
The Oregon Donor

A four-piece rock band from Anacortes, Washington, drawing influence from indie and post-rock bands such as Modest Mouse, Karate, Dismemberment Plan, and Mogwai.

7:00-8:30pm
The DK Stewart Band with the Soul Survivor Horns

D.K. Stewart, whose New Orleans, boogie-woogie piano style has been a driving force behind such Northwest blues giants as Robert Cray, Paul deLay and Curtis Salgado, is now available with his big band, The DK Stewart Band with the Soul Survivor Horns. Backed by veteran Portland drummer Cory Burdon, former Paul deLay Band bassist Don Campbell, and deLay guitarist Peter Dammann, Stewart serves up swinging, up-tempo "jump" blues by Nat Cole, Charles Brown and T-Bone Walker; hard-grooving New Orleans funk by Professor Longhair, Clifton Chenier and the Meters; slashing Chicago blues by Howlin' Wolf and Magic Sam; and his own soulful, compelling originals. Joining the group for special events are the Soul Survivor Horns, featuring veteran Brit saxophonist Chris Mercer (John Mayall, Bryan Ferry, Billy Ocean, Dr. John) and Northwest trumpeter Joe McCarthy (Robert Cray, Curtis Salgado).

 Sunday, June 20th

4:00-5:30pm
Eldridge Gravy and the Court Supreme

Eldridge Gravy and the Court Supreme is a funk juggernaut. Backed by the hot, gritty orchestration of the 10-person Court Supreme, frontman Eldridge Gravy easily works dance floors to a fever pitch with his full-bore performance and smooth rapport with the audience.
