Q. When is the Washington Brewers Festival?

A.The Washington Brewers Festival will be held during the Fathers Day Weekend- Friday, June 18, Saturday, June 19 and Sunday, June 20, 2010. New hours! The Festival will be open 4 – 9 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Sunday.

The sales of admission and tasting tickets will stop at 8:15pm (Fri & Sat) and 5:15pm (Sun), and taps will close at 8:30pm (Fri & Sat) and 5:30pm (Sun). Please make your plans accordingly.


Q. Where will the Washington Brewers Festival be held?

A.The Festival is returning to Saint Edward State Park in Kenmore, WA.

Q. How much is admission and what does it include?

A. On Friday admission is $15 at the door and advance (21+ only). Friday advance tickets are available online only. Friday admission includes a tasting cup and four tasting tokens. Admission for Saturday or Sunday is $25 at the door or $20 advance tickets, and includes a tasting cup and six tasting tokens. Additional tastes are $1.50 each. Tickets are good for one day only and non-refundable.

Designated driver admission is $8 and available at the gate only. Designated drivers will receive complimentary water or soda. Those under 21 are admitted free on Saturday and Sunday but must be accompanied by a parent.

You must be 21 or older with a valid photo ID to drink.


Q. Are advance tickets available?

A. Yes. Advance tickets are available at $15 for Friday and $20 for Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are good for one day only and non-refundable. Tickets to all 3 days are available online now and tickets to Saturday and Sunday will be available at ticket outlets beginning May 1st.


Q. Is there a group discount?

A.Yes! If you buy 9 tickets you’ll get one free ($180 for 10 tickets- $20 saving!). Group discount package is available online for advance purchase only (not available at the ticket outlets or at the door). Group discount sales end on June 11.


Q. What if I want to go to the Festival on all 3 days? Is there a discount?

A.The Festival offers Weekend Pass. Weekend passes are available at $35 and includes one ticket each to Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Weekend pass holders will be asked to wear a wristband throughout the weekend. Weekend passes are available online for advance purchase only (not available at the ticket outlets or at the door). Weekend pass sales end on June 11.


Q. What payment options are available?

A.We accept cash and credit cards (Visa and MasterCard), and there will be an ATM machine on site. For advance ticket purchase we accept credit cards online and cash and checks at ticket outlets.


Q. Is parking available on site?

A. There is very limited on-site parking available. On-site parking fee is $15 per vehicle on Saturday and Sunday (free parking on Friday). Only a limited number of parking spaces available each day and advance parking pass purchase is required. Additional on-site parking spaces will be available the day of the Festival only after the vehicles with pre-purchased parking passes leave and release their parking spaces. Proceeds from on-site parking will benefit Saint Edward State Park.

In addition to driving and parking in the Park, there are a few other options available on Saturday and Sunday:

  • Take public transportation (Metro, Community Transit, Sound Transit, etc) to one of the Shuttle Bus sites
  • Carpool to one the Shuttle Bus sites
  • Take FREE Shuttle Bus from the following sites to the Park
    (Saturday & Sunday only)

      • Kenmore P&R
      • Bothell P&R
      • UW Bothell parking garage (garage parking fee applies- $3 per car)
      • Kingsgate P&R in Kirkland

If you decide to drive to the Park we strongly encourage you to carpool and designate a driver.

Q. Do we need to pay for handicap parking?

A. Handicap parking is free and there is a reserved handicap parking area close to the admission booth.

 


Q. Can we bring our kids?

A. Yes! On Saturday and Sunday the Festival is ALL AGES. Saint Edward State Park is an all-age venue and everyone including children is welcome in all areas of the Festival so you can enjoy the Fathers Day Weekend with your family while enjoying the beer. NOTE: those under 21 must be accompanied by a parent. The Festival is 21+ only on Friday.


Q. What can we bring to the Festival and what’s not allowed?

A. You are welcome to bring blankets, picnic, beach umbrellas and folding chairs. However, tents, large furniture, glass containers and outside alcohol are not allowed at the Festival. Thank you for your understanding!


Q. Is there a place to stay near the Festival?

A. Residence Inn, the Festival’s Hotel Sponsor, is offering a special discount rate for the Washington Brewers Festival guests. Reservations required and based upon availability. Please mention “Washington Brewers Festival” when you make a reservation.

Q. Can we camp in the park overnight?

A.Unfortunately per Washington State Law overnight camping is not allowed in Saint Edward State Park.


Q. Are dogs allowed?

A. Sorry, pets are not allowed at the Festival.


Q. What else can we expect besides beer?

A.The Festival will provide plenty of entertainment for everyone in the family all weekend long! There will be performances by local bands on the music stage, as well as the crowd-favorite, Brewers Keg Toss Contest in front of the stage on Saturday and Sunday. You can also browse a wide array of craft booths and youngsters can enjoy craft projects, face painting and bouncy toys in the Kids Playground.


Q. Are there alternative beverages available?

A.Yes, in addition to the great selection of beer there will be a small Wine and Cider Tasting area featuring Washington wines and ciders. For those who are not old enough to drink and designated drivers the Rootbeer Garden will be serving premium craft rootbeer and other soda drinks by Washington breweries.


Q. Will there be food available during the Festival?

A.Yes, there will be about a dozen of vendors offering delicious festival fare (3-4 select food vendors on Friday).


Q. What’s WABL and what do I get for joining?

A.WABL is the WAshington Beer Lovers Club and the members will receive many exclusive offers throughout the year, including an extra taste and special WABL tasting glass (GLASS, not plastic cup!) at the Washington Brewers Festival, plus the privilege to try a WABL Beer, a special beer brewed by Washington brewers for each Washington Beer Commission festival that is available EXCLUSIVELY to the WABL members.
