Nevermind Tavern opens in Kent. Come as you are

-by Kendall Jones, Washington Beer Blog-

Downtown Kent is about to get a new, good beer bar. Actually, this might be a first. Nevermind Tavern is about to open its doors on Meeker Street and welcome the thirsty hordes of Kentonians long clamoring for a place to drink good beer. For opening night they’ll have an impressive lineup of Washington beers on tap.

This Friday (April 28th) at 6:00 p.m., Nevermind Tavern will celebrate its Grand Opening with the help of some local breweries. At the soiree, expect to see representatives from Sound Brewery, Foggy Noggin Brewing, Airways Brewing, Two Beers Brewing, Roslyn Brewing, and Snipes Mountain Brewing.

Good Beer and Good Dogs

If the name itself isn’t obvious enough, consider the logo. The name Nevermind Tavern is homage to Nirvana and the late-great Kurt Cobain. Nevermind Tavern aims to serve great beer paired with the best hotdogs in the area.

According to Trent Nichols, publican at Nevermind Tavern, “We’ll have seven rotating taps, with specialty beers in the bottle. We will have the best hot dogs in the area—Boar’s Head Brand: Chicagos, hot links, and veggie dogs. Nice music—mostly grunge, alternative and reggae. We also have four flat screen TVs, two of which will be used for playing old-school video games.”
