Washington breweries win big at North American Beer Awards

Once again, Washington breweries showed well at this year’s North American Beer Awards (NABA). In all, 12 Washington breweries won 28 medals. The biggest winners were Chuckanut Brewery and Silver City brewery. Each of those breweries brought home six medals. Chuckanut Brewery led the way with three gold medals. We share the list of winners below.

The North American Beer Awards is held in conjunction with the Mountain Brewers Beer Fest, which happened last weekend in Idaho Falls. The judging and awards are sanctioned by the North American Brewers Association.

Winning a medal at the NABA is an honor to be sure, but it should not be confused with the Great American Beer Festival, where winning a medal is considered more prestigious because of the number of beers and breweries involved. I’m not sure how many breweries participate in the NABA; they don’t share that information readily.
