Oktoberfest Entertainment

Friday, September 12th

5:00-6:30pm
The Pickled Herring Band

A toe-tapping variety of accordion music reminiscent of dance pavilions and grange halls of yesteryear.  From schottisches, oompah, polkas, waltzes, foxtrots, swing and more, the familiar melodies are bound to spark old memories with one generation and create new memories for another.

8:00-9:30pm
Handful of Luvin

A fine mix of experimental violin/fiddle on top of John Mayer-esque songs with undertones of harder blues rock, Celtic riffs and classical compositions. It’s a new music sensation that has lately been generating well-deserved hype in the Northwest.

Accordion Explosion

It’s no Oktoberfest without a fun, foot-stompin’ accordion tune so we are bringing together local accordionists, as many as we can find, to be part of one of the largest accordion jam sessions in Seattle! So gather around and check out dozens of accordion players take over the stage and perform a song all at once.

Do you want to be part of the "Accordion Explosion"?
All participants must bring their own instrument and be present at the stage by 7pm on Saturday, September, 13th. Early favorite for the song is "Louie, Louie" (so make sure you know all three chords). Participants will receive free admission to the festival, a tasting mug and four beer tokens. You must be 21 to participate. If you are interested in playing, please contact Rick Star of the Festival Committee at [email protected] with "Accordion Jam" in the subject line. Deadline for sign up is Sept 10th
