2009 Washington Brewers Festival

Entertainment

Friday, June 13th

7:00-8:30pm
Handful of Luvin’

A fine mix of experimental violin/fiddle on top of John Mayer-esque songs with undertones of harder blues rock, Celtic riffs and classical compositions. It’s a new music sensation that has lately been generating well-deserved hype in the Northwest.

Saturday, June 20th

12:30-2:00pm
The Senate

With powerful walls of sound built by only two acoustic guitars, an upright bass, and three voices, The Senate’s catchy songwriting, tight arrangements, and unorthodox instrumental techniques create a dynamic musical hybrid that continues to push the boundaries of acoustic instrumentation.

2:30 - 3:30 p.m.
Brewers Keg Toss Contest

Here’s a chance for the brewers to show off their muscles and keg-maneuvering skills they developed from years of hard work! Each contestant will toss an empty pony keg toward three kiddy pools full of water and points will be awarded for landing the keg in the pools. In addition to the title of the Keg Toss Master, the winner will take home the trophy and a coveted prize by Micro Matic, the sponsor of the 2008 Keg Toss Contest Sponsor and a leading supplier of draft beer dispensing equipment. So be there and find out who will claim the title of the ultimate championship!

4:00-5:30pm
Ian McFeron Band

The Ian McFeron Band shifts smoothly through a variety of roots-Americana styles ranging from acoustic folk rock to gritty alt-country blues, from heartfelt, soulful ballads to driving danceable backbeat grooves.

6:00-7:30pm
Dudley Taft Blues Overkill

A little bit of Texas Blues infused with some Mississippi Delta, sprinkled with a hint of British Invasion, served up with Northwest Rock sensibility.

6:00-7:30pm
Vaughn Kreestoe

A jazz-funk group from Bellingham. Inspired by the need for emotional release and the desire for spiritual relaxation through sonic enlightenment.
